To my mind, a picture should be something pleasant, cheerful, and pretty, yes pretty! There are too many unpleasant things in life as it is without creating still more of them.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, copperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

What a beautiful scene...what is the object on the far left, with the peace sign?
Thanks, valwebb - the peace sign is a sign for yoga classes. When the weather is nice I like to sit on steps across the street from this church and admire it. Then once in a while it rewards me with melodious tolling bells :)

Thanks Dianne - There is a farmer's every thursday. My friend and I load up on goodies from there, and then rest here for a few minutes before tackling the second half of the day at work.
